In this 4-part training, you’ll learn how to adopt a skills-based approach to people management through activity-driven workshops using digital tools and free templates to set your company up for success. Businesses adopting this approach reduce staff vacancy by up to 70%, diversify their staff, double retention rates, and increase staff productivity on average by 22%.

SKILLFUL Talent 101: Attract the Right Talent

Do you struggle to find the talent your company needs to grow? Outdated hiring and recruitment methods may be keeping you from finding qualified people with the right skills for the job.

In SKILLFUL Talent 101: Attract the Right Talent, you’ll learn:
  • How to write job postings that attract people with skills needed to succeed
  • Broaden your talent pipeline to all qualified applicants
  • Reduce bias in your hiring process, and
  • Source and recruit the people using your new job posting
Future-proof your team development by focusing on skills in your talent management processes. By concentrating on competencies, you can hire better candidates, speed up your time-to-hire, increase employee retention and engagement, and improve your company’s diversity.
This program is valid for a total of 1.5 PDCs for the SHRM-CP(r) or SHRM-SCP(r).

SKILLFUL Talent 102: Candidate Evaluation
How do you tell the difference between a candidate with great interviewing skills and a candidate who has the skills that will set them up for success in the role?
By emphasizing the candidates' skills in the interview and through skill assessments that test for the specific competencies new employees will need in order to succeed in their role, you’ll be able to double the effectiveness of your interview process and choose the candidate most likely to succeed.
In SKILLFUL Talent 102: Candidate Evaluation, you’ll learn how to:
  • Avoid filtering out qualified candidates in the screening process
  • Craft interview questions that allow candidates’ opportunity to demonstrate occupational and foundational (also known as “hard” and “soft”) skills
  • Select and design an assessment to accurately evaluate candidates’ skills
By evaluating candidates based on their skills, you distill the interviewing and evaluation processes to its essentials and are more likely to find your next great employee.
This program is valid for a total of 1.5 PDCs for the SHRM-CP(r) or SHRM-SCP(r).
