Join us at the Denver Art Museum to experience the Kent Monkman: History is Painted by the Victors, led by John Lukavic, the Andrew W. Mellon Curator of Native Arts.
This exhibition, Monkman's first major one in the United States, uses history painting as a contemporary genre to critically examine and reframe dominant colonial narratives of North American history, especially those of Indigenous and Two-Spirit communities.
This exhibition contains depictions of violence and nudity. Please preview before registering.
Attendees will also have access to DAM after the presentation, and can stay for the day, courtesy of the DAM.
