Mellon Curator of Native Arts. \n\nThis exhibition\, Monkman's first major one in the United States\, uses history painting as a contemporary genre to critically examine and reframe dominant colonial narratives of North American history\, especially those of Indigenous and Two-Spirit communities.\n\nThis exhibition contains depictions of violence and nudity. Please preview before registering.\n\nAttendees will also have access to DAM after the presentation\, and can stay for the day\, courtesy of the DAM.
