YP Business Success Series - Dr. Fraud!

The Aurora Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome Dr. J. Michael Skiba, known as Dr. Fraud, as our April Business Success Series speaker. This month’s Business Success Series topic will focus on the challenges we are facing with fraud due to the increased use of technology. This year has been very unique and has forced businesses to make unique changes as well. Unfortunately, criminals are using this period of transition and learning, for businesses, to cause havoc. Dr. Fraud is here to share his knowledge on how we can recognize and avoid these issues.
 
Dr. Skiba is Department Chair of Criminal Justice at Colorado State University Global. Prior to taking on his role as chair, he worked international counter fraud for 23 years where he investigated white collar crime around the globe, including working with government agencies on large scale cases in Malaysia, Brazil, Russia, and London. He has been an academic and professor for 20 years and holds an MBA and a PhD with a concentration on economic crime. As Dr. Fraud, he is sought out by many media outlets and can be seen on CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox News, and SiriusXM radio. He is an accomplished author and recently published a book entitled “The Psychology of Fraud”. He is also an instructor for the ATF (U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives) and a member of the Academic Council of the United Nations System.
