Non-Profit Committee

The role of the non-profit committee is to strengthen the ties of the local non-profits to The Chamber and the community while supporting and helping them succeed in their mission. 

July's meeting presentation will be provided by Daniel Leal-Diaz with the US Department of Veteran Affairs. The presentation will cover VA’s Community Based-Interventions for Suicide Prevention Priority Areas. The VA's National Strategy for Preventing Veteran Suicide emphasizes a multifaceted approach that combines clinical interventions with community engagement and public health strategies. This comprehensive plan aims to reduce suicide rates among veterans and ensure that all veterans have access to the support and resources they need to live healthy, productive lives.
