Learn About Low Water Landscaping at Denver Botanic Gardens - Chamber Arts + Business Connection
Join us at The Denver Botanic Gardens in the Freyer-Newman Center, to hear from Manager of Sustainable Landscape Services Marissa Sterrett, ASLA, about low-resource-use landscape and best practices for landscapes in Colorado and the West. She will offer some great tips and ideas.
Attendees will also be able to wander the gardens after the presentation, if they want to!
Marissa Sterrett, ASLA, Bio:
Marissa is a horticulturist and landscape designer and is the manager of sustainable landscape services at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Marissa’s work focuses on designing low-resource-use landscapes, educating others on best practices for landscapes in the West as well as is working to address issues around extreme weather and how healthy landscapes can offset some of its effects. Previously, she taught landscape design to horticulture students at Front Range Community College. Outside of work, Marissa seeks out ways to connect with nature and is an amateur birder.
