With the China trade policy a key issue raised by both U.S. presidential candidates, this timely film sheds light on how anti-censorship internet technologies and a re-emergence of traditional values is bringing about a new China…a China that not only will benefit the US and the rest of the world but one free from the legacy of the most brutal dictatorship in history.
Background:
Directed by Michael Perlman of Tibet: Beyond Fear, and co-produced with NTD Television, Free China examines the widespread human rights violation inside China - from forced abortions to live organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience - through the remarkable stories of best-selling author Jennifer Zeng, a mother and former Communist Party member, and Dr. Charles Lee, an American Chinese businessman. Both Jennifer and Charles along with hundreds of thousands of peaceful citizens in China, were tortured and subjected to slave labor for their spiritual beliefs in the Falun Gong meditation practice.
Comments about the film:
Karen Curry, former CNN New York Bureau Chief, praised the film as “Intensely compelling …extraordinary.”
“This Film will be a Game Changer.” US Congressman Chris Smith, Chairman of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China.
“Free China shows the way to a more democratic and peaceful regime…where everybody wins instead of the Communist Party.” Peter Navarro, Co-Author and Producer/Director of “Death by China”
