Diversity & Inclusion Presents: The Small Business Administration (SBA), Colorado Small Business Development Center Network (SBDC), and Aurora-South Metro SBDC Services
Our first guest speaker, Marcia McGilley has served as the executive director of the Aurora-South Metro SBDC since 2008. She has jump started over 2,000 companies and reads approximately 50 business plans per year.
Marcia is a serial entrepreneur, owning six companies as diverse as a marketing consulting firm, a murder mystery theatre troupe and a motivational training company.
Our second guest speaker, Elena has more than 20 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, and organizational development. As a bilingual business consultant, she has helped launch more than 700 businesses and has taught a variety of business courses both in English and Spanish. Elena, currently serves as the Business Economic Development Supervisor for the City of Aurora and the Associate Director for the Aurora-South Metro SBDC. In this position, she leads a team of consultants that provide bilingual business training to start-ups and existing businesses as well as confidential one-on-one business consulting to help them start, grow and become successful. She is currently spearheading several business programs to support minority and immigrant-owned businesses.
Elena has an MBA and a Master’s degree in Organizational Development from Azusa Pacific University in California. She also owns High Impact Solutions, LLC, a firm dedicated to helping businesses and organizations achieve higher levels of productivity and profitability.

The Aurora Chamber of Commerce Diversity & Inclusion Council meets Bi-Monthly on the 2nd Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. On the months that we do not meet, video resources will be emailed to our council members.
Location
You must register for all meeting events. Once registration is complete, meeting details and Zoom link will be emailed to you.
Please note: Registration is not required for the bi-monthly resources that are emailed to our council members.
