Arts + Business Connection is going on a field trip to Ascend Performing Arts.

Ascend, home of the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, has a mission of furthering the education and growth of young people through participation in high caliber performing arts programs that promote teamwork and discipline, develop leadership skills, and enhance self-esteem.

During this visit, CEO Mark Arnold and Director of Development Bliss Coleman will highlight Ascend's enduring dedication to nurturing young talent, a commitment that has been their cornerstone since 1958. They will share insights into Ascend's unique blend of for-profit strategies and traditional methods that keep both new and older generations engaged.
 
Discover the logistics and preparation involved in taking 165 kids on an annual summer tour, including their reliance on schools for rehearsal space, and showcasing adaptability and community collaboration in supporting students' growth and development. All while putting safety and students’ wellbeing first.

This meeting will not be offered remotely – show up and enjoy the show! Coffee and light snacks will be provided.

The Arts + Business Connection (ABC) committee demonstrates and promotes the value of integrating the arts as a business tool, by exploring how business and industry can and does benefit from the arts.
