Arts + Business Connection - Arts + Veterans
On February 25, Arts + Business Connection will take a field trip to the VA Hospital Aurora, to hear - and see - how the arts are integrated in a variety of ways to work with Veterans.
Panel and performance members include
-Dr. Edgar Villarreal, suicide prevention program manager - will highlight the Eyes of Freedom memorial
-Khristie Barker, Public Affairs, Community Outreach for VA and a lead on the Arts Committee - will speak about the vision for the VA and its arts programs
-Michael Gropper, veteran and owner of Full Battle Rattle Deli - to speak about training veterans in the culinary arts
-Marian Robinson, board member of Task Force ISO - will share the benefits for veterans of learning the art of photography
-Rod Ford, Veteran artist - will talk about the impact of the PTSD sculpture
-Laurice Quinn, veteran performer - is with Phamaly, performing arts company
