April Partnership Meeting: Global Issues Shaping European Business Investment in the U.S.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), foreign direct investment in the United States increased $216.8 billion to $5.25 trillion at the end of 2022, from $5.04 trillion at the end of 2021.
The increase mainly reflected a $142.2 billion increase in the position from Europe, with the largest increases from the United Kingdom and Germany.
Although national 2023 numbers are not yet available, Denver South’s foreign business recruitment efforts have shown similar movement through 2023.
Our speakers will bring both European Union (EU) and United Kingdom (UK) perspectives on the factors that are spurring European companies to expand or relocate their operations to the United States.
Speakers:
Josh Cirbo, General Manager, Mikron Corporation (Switzerland)
Erin Kuhn, British Consul in Colorado, U.K. Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (United Kingdom)
