4th Annual Diversity and Inclusion Resource Summit
The Aurora Chamber’s Diversity and Inclusion Council is hosting the Fourth Annual Diversity and Inclusion Resource Summit! This year’s theme will focus on how "Our Differences Make the Difference!"
Aurora is the most diverse city in Colorado, and the purpose of this summit is to benefit the community by providing local businesses with resources on how to diversify their business and to capture the growing population of Aurora and the Eastern Metro Area. We would also like businesses to learn about the importance of creating inclusion in the workplace with both employees and customers by introducing awareness on cultural competencies that can also positively increase your bottom line.
The Summit will begin with optional professional development workshops presented by experts in their field. Following workshops is the Resource Fair, where vendors have the opportunity to share resources that will help businesses diversify their products, services, workplace, or customers; create more inclusive work environments; or share marketing strategies to increase your business into different markets in the Eastern Metro Area. You will also have the opportunity to network with citizens in the community.
The event will include a keynote speaker, success story and the presentation of the Diversity an Inclusion Champion Award. The Summit will also include hosted beer and wine and complimentary food choices by different international restaurants.
This year we are excited to feature Keynote Speaker,
Dr. Ryan E. Ross
Dr. Ryan E. Ross is an educator, speaker, and actualization coach, committed to access, equity, and the development of leaders.
Ryan’s professional, community, and social contributions have afforded the opportunity to be coined “Denver’s role Model for Inclusiveness, as well as land him recognition's such as The Denver Business Journal’s prestigious 40 under Forty Award, being named as an African American who make a difference by the Denver Urban Spectrum, a recipient of the 2013 MLK Humanitarian award from Colorado’s Martin Luther King Jr. Commission, being named as one of Colorado’s top five most influential young professionals by COBIZ magazine in 2014, as well as recently being recognized as the 2016 Colorado 9 News leader of the year.
