This volunteer opportunity is designed to help cleanup the memorial and prepare for its upcoming 10 year anniversary celebration over Memorial Day Weekend (May 27th from 10am-1pm). \n\n\n\n*Cleaning Supplies will be provided.\n\n* Wear comfy shoes.\n\n* Wear clothes that can get dirty.\n\n* You may bring your own gardening/cleaning gloves.\n\n\n\nHere is a link to the Colorado Freedom Memorial's Memorial Day weekend event schedule:\n\nhttps://coloradofreedommemorial.com/event/colorado-remembers/\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Colorado Freedom Memorial is a memorial located in Aurora\, Colorado\, dedicated to honoring the Colorado residents who lost their lives while serving in the United States military. It was officially dedicated on May 26\, 2013\, and features the names of over 6\,000 Colorado veterans who were killed or missing in action dating back to the Spanish-American War.\n\n \n\nThe memorial was designed by Kristoffer Kenton\, a Colorado resident who served in the United States Marine Corps. It consists of two large glass panels\, each measuring 12 feet by 25 feet\, with the names of the fallen etched into them. The panels are set on a concrete platform that is surrounded by a reflecting pool.\n\n \n\nThe Colorado Freedom Memorial is open to the public year-round and provides visitors with an opportunity to pay their respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. The memorial is located in Springhill Community Park in Aurora\, Colorado.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Chamber Young Professionals is a program designed for emerging leaders\, ages 21- 40. it is the go-to-organization for young professionals looking to engage in the Eastern Metro Business community wanting to learn about issues\, interact with regional leaders and give back to the community. This dynamic group of future leaders is open to all young business professionals\, cultural\, entrepreneurial\, politically interested people.
