As we are enjoying our food\, Susan Howk\, Registered Dietician from Tri-County Health Department\, will give us some nutritional women's health tips. As we wind up our event\, we will enjoy some wine tasting\, great networking\, and let's not forget the door prizes!\n\n \nMaking the Healthy Choice the Easy Choice:\n\n\n\nLearn practical ideas on how to make healthy meals and snacks fit into a busy lifestyle. \n\n \n\nPresentation take-aways will include:\n\n Using MyPlate for meal planning\n\n Important things to look for on the Nutrition Food Label\n\n Grocery shopping tips\n\n Hidden sugar in snacks and beverages\n\n Healthy food choices for our minds and bodies\n\n\nGuest speaker\, Sue Howk\, RD earned her Bachelor of Science in dietetics at Central Michigan University\, and completed her dietetic internship through Oakland County Health Division in Detroit\, MI. Karen's commitment to the practice deepened when it became the answer to recovery from 5 back surgeries. Karen believes that anyone\, regardless of background or ability\, can find growth and well being in the practice of yoga.\n\n\n\nEnjoy a time of yoga exploration! Using foundational yoga postures in a simple flowing style\, we will explore all things yoga. With emphasis on proper alignment\, you will move mindfully\, discovering balance\, strength\, and flexibility on the yoga mat. Open to all levels\, modifications provided when needed.\n\n\n\nBring your Yoga Matt\, a friend\, co-worker\, or a family member to enjoy this beautiful day while we enjoy the great outdoors and get some fresh air! By the way\, the golf course will be closed on this day\, so we will have the whole venue to ourselves! \n\n\n\nBe sure to register for this event in order for us to have a solid headcount to ensure we have enough food for everyone! \n\n \n\nThe Women In Business committee is to serve as a voice for all women in business\, acting as an advocate on issues that affect their professional growth and long term economic vitality.\n\n\n\nThank you for your support of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce and the Women in Business Committee. The Aurora Chamber consistently strives to provide access\, advocacy\, and influence for our members through our programs and committees. We can only be successful if we retain existing members and attract new members. Please help us by inviting someone as your guest to our next meeting.
