DESCRIPTION:Join us as we take a look at "Exploring the Evolution of Women's Roles in Society"\n\n\n\nIn this presentation\, we will discuss:\n\n	The History of roles from the 1950's and beyond\n	Leah's Story - One woman who challenged society's expectations\n	How our family roles helped shape and define our path\n	Colorado Technical University - Empowering today's students\n\nAbout our Guest Speaker: Lara Seng\, MA\n\nLead Faculty\, Colorado Technical University\n\n \n\nPrior to her role as a Lead Faculty for Sociology\, Lara joined Colorado Technical University in 2017 as an adjunct instructor at the Colorado Springs Campus\, where she taught Sociology and UNIV courses.  In 2020\, she transitioned to online instruction\, served on a faculty panel discussion "Faculty Resilience During a Pandemic" for CTU's Faculty Summit\, and was a Distinguished Faculty of the Year Nominee.\n\n \n\nBeing in an education role for many years\, Lara has served as a developmental therapist and autism specialist under Early Intervention Colorado and previously contracted with the Missouri Department of Education to facilitate early intervention services. She has provided instruction in sociology\, social psychology\, group theory\, and advanced research methods at ITT\, and taught a series of autism courses for educators at State Fair Community College in Missouri. Lara also has a background in mental health services that spanned over 15 years\, as she supported children and families in her roles as a case manager and therapist.\n\n \n\n \n\nThe Women in Business Committee serves as a voice for all women in business\, acting as an advocate on issues that affect their professional growth and long term economic vitality.
