DESCRIPTION:Join us to speak with Dr. Jessica Hawks of Children's Hospital Colorado to talk about the Mental Health Impact of COVID-19.\n\n\n\nThroughout this discussion\, Dr. Hawks will help us will understand how the pandemic has impacted the mental health of children and families and learn specific strategies to improve mental health during the pandemic. Dr. Hawks will also suggest different ideas of how to balance working from home and personal demands (e.g.\, parenting).\n\n\n\nJessica Hawks\, Ph.D. is a clinical child and adolescent psychologist and the clinical director of ambulatory services at the Pediatric Mental Health Institute\, Children's Hospital Colorado. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry\, School of Medicine\, at the University of Colorado. Dr. Hawks provides outpatient mental health services to children and families presenting with a wide spectrum of mental health concerns. She has clinical expertise in working with children with behavioral difficulties and/or irritability and their parents.\n\n\n\nDr. Hawks leads clinical services and provides training and supervision to a variety of mental health trainees and professionals. Her research focuses on innovative clinical program development and dissemination efforts aimed at bringing a transdiagnostic approach to pediatric mental health assessment and treatment services. Dr. Hawks is routinely invited to interview for state and national media outlets\, as well as provide community lectures\, on pediatric mental health.\n\n \nThe Women In Business committee serves as a voice for all women in business\, acting as an advocate on issues that affect their professional growth and long term economic vitality.\n\n\n\nThank you for your support of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce and the Women in Business Committee.
