DESCRIPTION:Dr. Michelle Barron of UCHealth: \n\n\n\nColorado's top Infectious Disease Doctor will be providing us updates on the COVID-19 Pandemic\n\n\n\nDr. Michelle Barron received a B.S. from Yale University in 1992. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1996. She did her internship and residency in internal medicine at Creighton University School of Medicine from 1996-1999. From 1999-2003. \n\n\n\nDr. Barron completed her training in infectious diseases at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She joined the faculty at UCHSC in 2003 and is currently a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases.  In addition\, she is the Medical Director of Infection Control at UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital.\n\n\n\nShe is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as in Infectious Diseases. Dr. Barron's research interests are in infection prevention and control\, transplant infectious diseases and HIV.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Women In Business Committee is to serve as a voice for all women in business\, acting as an advocate on issues that affect their professional growth and long term economic vitality.
