DESCRIPTION:The Women In Business committee is to serve as a voice for all women in business\, acting as an advocate on issues that affect their professional growth and long term economic vitality.\n\n\n\nMarcelina Rivera is the Chief of Strategic Management at Aurora Public Schools.  She oversees the strategic work of the CFO\, COO\, CPO and Director of Accountability and Research.  She leads the implementation of the district's strategic plan and serves as a key advisor to the Superintendent on accelerating progress toward the district's goals and objectives to meet the learning needs of all students.\n\n\n\nIn 2017\, she was recognized by the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce as one of the 25 Most Powerful Women.  She holds a J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law\, B.A. from the University of Denver\, and completed the Teacher Preparation and Education Studies Program at Yale.  \n\n\n\nMarcelina will share her expertise on education and her personal story of growth\, accomplishments\, and lessons learned\, that helped shape her future and how she became the Chief of Staff for Aurora Public Schools.
