SUMMARY:Women in Business 20th Annual "Unsung Hero" Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:The Unsung Hero Award recognizes hardworking business women who are making a difference in our community through their business or professional accomplishments\, community service\, and/or mentoring others. \n\n \n\nNominate someone who makes a substantial contribution in the community or business. Simply list her accomplishments and attributes\, and make your reservations to celebrate the extraordinary woman you nominated in our community!\n\n\n\nLunch options need to be selected at the time of registration:\n\nGrilled Seasoned Chicken atop a Bed of Mixed Green with Ranch or Balsamic Dressing and Rolls\n\n-or-\n\nWild Mushroom Ravioli with Wild Mushroom Cream Sauce and Rolls \n\nHors d'oeuvres and Non-Alcoholic Cosmopolitans will also be served during registration from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. \n\n\n\n(If neither of these options are appropriate for your dietary needs\, please contact DeeDee directly for special accommodations. \n\n\n\nThis year we will celebrate this event in Red Dress Style celebrating women's heart health with guest speaker\, Maddie Philley\, from The American Heart Association. \n\n \nNearly 80% of cardiac events can be prevented\, but still cardiovascular diseases continue to be a woman's greatest health threat. Why? One of the main reasons is that as women\, we work hard for our family\, friends\, communities and more\, but we don't put our health first. The American Heart Association's signature women's initiative\, Go Red for Women \, is designed to increase women's heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women globally. It's no longer just about wearing red\; it's no longer just about sharing heart health facts. It's about all women making a commitment to stand together with Go Red and taking charge of their own heart health as well as the health of those they can't bear to live without.\n\n \n\nPlease join us on National Wear Red Day (February 7\, 2020) at the Aurora Chamber of Commerce's Women In Business: Unsung Heroes Luncheon. At the event\, hear from Maddie Philley of the American Heart Association who will bring awareness to the widespread impact that heart disease has on women and highlight ways we can be heart healthy together.\n\n\nLet's put on our Red Dresses and celebrate women in style! \n\n\n\nNomination deadline for this event was Wednesday\, January 15\, 2020. No further nominations are being accepted.
