SUMMARY:WEBINAR: Living with Worry
DESCRIPTION:WEBINAR: Living with worry\n\n\n\nWhat triggers worry - \n\nSome of the things that trigger worry include the "what if's"\, ambiguous interruptions\, no experiences to fall back on\, and unpredictability on how things will turn out. Our current world situation checks off the boxes. This leads to worry and anxiety.\n\n \n\nDifferent types of worries \n\nWorry can be helpful or unhelpful and include Real problem vs. Hypothetical worry. Real world problems are actual problems affecting you right now. Hypothetical worries are things that do not currently exist\, but might happen in the future.\n\n \n\nWhen worries become a problem \n\nNormal worry helps you get what you want. Excessive worry gets in the way of living the life you want to live. I will also discuss a decision tree to recognize real problem vs hypothetical worries.\n\n \n\nFinding balance-\n\nDoing activities that give pleasure\, achievement\, and closeness. Identify real problems vs hypothetical worries. Practice postponing worry. Speak and treat yourself with compassion\, practice mindfulness.
