DESCRIPTION:The Aurora Chamber of Commerce is proud to present a General Membership Luncheon featuring Aurora's newly elected Mayor\, Steve Hogan\, as the keynote speaker. Mayor Hogan will discuss "the huge opportunity to move the city ahead by light years."\n\n\n\nThis luncheon also hosts the presentation of the prestigious Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility. The awards are part of When Work Works\, a research-based initiative of the Families and Work Institute (FWI) that highlights how effective and flexible workplaces can yield positive business results and help employees succeed at work and at home. FWI and the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) have recently partnered to expand and continue the work of the initiative.\n\nScott Ferrin\, SHRM field services director for the Southwest Central Region will present the awards.
