Hiring\, retaining and leveraging the strengths and experience of older workers can be part of the solution. But myths about older workers often stand in the way.\n\n \n\nResearch shows that older workers are healthier\, better educated and more technology savvy than in the past. Additionally\, their skills and experience\, loyalty\, and networks of professional contacts can be tremendous assets to our businesses.\n\n \n\nThis presentation will highlight the benefits of leveraging older adult talent\, how to do it\, and how you and your company can remain more productive and profitable in today's economy.\n\n\n\nKaren Brown is a thought-leader in technology and innovations for older people focusing on products\, services and policy that improve the lives of older adults and their families.  As CEO of iAging and the Ambassador of the Aging2.0 Denver Chapter\, she is connected to\, supportive of and a consultant to a network of innovators in Colorado and across the globe that are tackling the Grand Challenges of Aging.  As Past Chair and current member of the Strategic Action Planning Group on Aging (SAPGA)\, she is keenly aware of the changes in the Colorado demographics and is working with SAPGA to promote policies and programs that will support older people\, their caregivers and the infrastructure that serves them to the year 2030 and beyond.  She is also a leader in the Age-Friendly WorkForce Campaign\, a part of the Changing the Narrative Initiative\, funded by Rose Community Foundation and The NextFifty Initiative.    \n\n \n\nMaureen McDonald\, a native of Denver\, is passionate about the intersections of the public\, private\, and nonprofit sectors as a means for improving our communities and strengthening our economy. With a distinguished career in nonprofit management\, McDonald's focus on the longevity economy\, workforce development\, and leadership development informs her consulting practice where she serves local and national clients.
