SUMMARY:Business for the Arts Committee
DESCRIPTION:Artistic Director Kim Robards will speak about her professional modern dance touring company which is the dance anchor of the Aurora Cultural Arts District. Additionally she will inform attendees of KRD's educational outreach programs and The Academy of KRD. Ms. Robards will lead Business Committee for the Arts members in a fun and simple warm up with an opportunity to explore their creative juices in an entertaining group activity. The session will culminate in a performance by one of KRD's principal company members presenting a solo created by Ms. Robards to music created by Brett Omara of Spinphony.\n\n\n\nIncluding arts as an integral part of your business   Up with People\n\nUp with People has an extensive background of over 50 years of experience in entertainment and has performed to more than 1 billion people in the last half-century\, either through live performance or through televised performances (think Super Bowl halftime shows in the 80's). \n\nEven though our show is only one of the 5 aspects of our program\, it will always be the one thing that people will remember. During the presentation  the Chamber\, we will go over how to include arts as an integral part of your business and how Up with People has succeeded in using arts to bring people together using examples of our previous visit to Aurora in September of 2016.\n\n\n\n\n\nBusiness for the Arts Committee promotes the active involvement of\, as well as interaction between\, the business community and cultural arts programs in the Eastern Metro area.
