DESCRIPTION:Diversity & Inclusion Resource Summit\n\n\n\nThe Aurora Chamber's Diversity and Inclusion Council is hosting the second annual Diversity and Inclusion Resource Summit. Aurora is the most diverse city in Colorado\, and the purpose of this summit is to benefit the community by providing local businesses with resources on how to diversify their business and to capture the growing population of Aurora and the Eastern Metro Area. We would also like businesses to learn about the importance of creating inclusion in the workplace with both employees and customers by introducing awareness on cultural competencies that can also positively increase your bottom line.\n\n \n\nThe Summit is set up as Resource Fair including highly valued Resource Talks throughout the event. Vendors have the opportunity to share resources that will help businesses diversify their products\, services\, workplace\, or customers\; create more inclusive work environments\; or share marketing strategies to increase your business into different markets in the Eastern Metro Area.  You will also have the opportunity to network with citizens in the community.\n\n \n\nResearch has shown that when employees feel valued and included in the workplace their productivity increases.  The Summit will engage you in a relevant professional development opportunity\, as your business is important to The Chamber and the community. \n\n \n\nThe below 'Resource Talks' topics will be covered in 15 minute intervals:\n\n	"Who am I Hiring?" Understanding implicit bias in the hiring process\n	"Our Differences Make the Difference" Inclusive diversity recruiting and retention best practices.\n	Impact Story: "Sharing My Journey" - from a Transgender perspective - Dasha Vonnesscene and the success story of two immigrant business owners: Max Edja\, Senior Business Consultant\, and Edgar and Renee Leon\, AutoPros\n\n We are excited about this innovative opportunity to partner with you and help grow your business with an inclusive lens.
