Colorado Early Colleges Aurora Hosts July 15 Free Family Barbecue to Welcome Prospective Students
Aurora, Colo.—July 10, 2017—Colorado Early Colleges Aurora (CEC Aurora) campus will welcome prospective students and their families at a Family BBQ, noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 15. CEC Aurora is a free, public charter high school that will open its doors to Aurora high school students. The school is the fourth campus for Colorado Early Colleges, which is known for providing students with the chance to earn a college degree for free while in high school. The school is the first of its kind in the Aurora community.
Colorado Early Colleges is the top charter school organization in Colorado when it comes to helping high school students get free college degrees. In 2017 alone, 185 CEC students earned a free associate degree while in high school. In addition, CEC purchased more colleges courses for its students than any other charter school organization. CEC has saved Colorado students and families more than $11 million in tuition, fees and books.
At the event, students, families, friends and neighbors will have the opportunity to meet new CEC Aurora staff and other students that will join the CEC Aurora family this fall. In addition, Congressman Mike Coffman (R-Colorado, 6th District), will be attending the celebration at 1 p.m. and will give a short speech.

- School tours of the new building

- Door prizes, including a TV and tablet
- Prizes for wearing CEC Aurora t-shirts
